[three_fourth_last]The PA Phone-a-Thon is coming up next month, and we are in need of at least 50 volunteers over the two nights. We hope you can help out on one or both nights. We are in particular need of volunteers who speak Mandarin or Chinese, or any other of the many languages our parents speak.
The Phone-a-Thon raises dollars that enable us to fund crucial programs at Bronx Science – programs which so many of us take for granted, but all of which are 100% funded by the PA. These programs include: PupilPath, Naviance, Turnitin.com, K12 Alerts, the planners our students receive, afterschool club expenses, and additional funding for our tireless college guidance office.
Details for the Phone-A-Thon are as follows:
Dates: Wednesday November 19th and Thursday November 20th (choose one or come to both)
Time: 6:00pm-10:00pm (phoning will end at 9:30, in order to be cleaned up and out of the school by 10:00)
Location: At Bronx Science, using phones in school offices
Additional Information: We will provide:
-Dinner (sandwiches, salad, beverages, etc.)
-Free bus transportation from Manhattan and Queens
-Call sheets, a sample script, and full instructions, so no prior Phone-a-Thon experience is necessary!
