Thank you to all of you who spoke up and voiced your opinions about the NYPD scanners our students experienced last Wednesday morning. We are a diverse group of parents with varied opinions on the matter, but we do all agree that we want a safe school environment for our kids. According to Dr. Donahue, the city will likely be sending scanners back to Bronx Science a few more times on a random basis. To that end, Dr. Donahue and our School Safety Committee have begun discussing procedures to put in place if needed that will speed up the process and help ease the disruption to the school day. Hopefully the next time, the process will run more smoothly.
